Qualitative Project Manager

We’re hiring a creative and collaborative Qualitative Project Manager to design and manage qualitative projects, including writing screeners, working with recruiting, facility and platform vendors as well as partnering with external consultants. On small projects, the qualitative project manager may be a moderator (e.g., online activities, online boards and telephone interviews). The project manager will also help build the qualitative services practice by growing client relationships, aiding in the development of proposals, marketing/sales tools and by assisting with internal educational efforts. The qualitative project manager will report to the Director of Qualitative Services.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Essential Duties

  • Manage small qualitative projects independently
  • Actively manage project budget, work plan, profitability, as well as project and billings schedule
  • Own screener writing and recruitment efforts, qualitative vendor management (e.g., facilities, recruiters, online platform providers, etc.) and serve as liaison between CMB and external qualitative partners on designated projects
  • Serve as day-to-day contact on qualitative projects
  • Conduct some moderating—both online and via telephone—for smaller qualitative projects, working towards moderating in-person sessions (IDIs, Focus Groups and Co-creation sessions)
  • Participates in the proposal development process (e.g., schedule, pricing, methodology)
  • Oversees and effectively communicates with project team and external resources
  • Presents a CMB University case study annually
  • Successfully completes peer reviews on time as requested

 

Qualifications

  • BA in a related field (e.g., marketing, market research, psychology, anthropology)
  • Minimum of 3 years of custom qualitative market research experience
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing small qualitative market research projects
  • Experience delegating, managing and influencing teams and individuals
  • Understanding of qualitative market research methods, both online and in-person
  • Experience in report writing and competent at proofreading and editing documents or presentations
  • Excellent at managing multiple projects and priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent at establishing and managing relationships with clients, vendors and coworkers
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Sense of humor and self-aware
