Market Research Field Services Manager

The Market Research Field Services Manager position will support and report to the Field Services Director at Chadwick Martin Bailey (CMB.) This individual will work closely with qualitative and quantitative vendors on behalf of CMB to support client-facing project teams on proposals and project execution.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Client Services Team

  • Adhere to “The CMB Way” (defined approaches, processes, best practices, etc.)
  • Contribute to marketing CMB by writing a blog annually
  • Take advantage of training and development opportunities
  • Contributes to a team and/or committee for ongoing CMB initiatives
  • Ensure end-to-end client/project delivery in alignment with Sales & Account Management leading to high client satisfaction with project deliverables

Essential Duties

  • Advise project teams on field management approaches and partners
    • Provide subject matter expertise on sample panel partners and their capabilities in collaboration with the Field Services Director
    • Establish best practices with regard to vendor management in collaboration with the Field Services Director
    • Support client-facing project team in scoping out alternative scenarios based on feasibility options; summarizing recommendations from and across vendor partners
    • Frequently and effectively communicate with client-facing project teams, questionnaire programming partners, and the Field Services Director
  • Facilitate vendor bids process during the proposal process, and mid-stream if course corrections are necessary
    • Obtain data collection costs from outside vendors
    • Research and create a pipeline of potential vendors in collaboration with Field Services Director
    • Provide a point of view on recommended qualitative partners
  • Oversee field management, as an extension of the core project team, for complex projects and/or select key accounts
    • Develop positive relationships with fellow CMBers by understanding their roles
    • Manage field process including quota management, adhering to key project specifications for select research studies
    • Own and update documentation of field management processes for select key accounts


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated market research experience
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated success working with vendors or similar experience preferred
  • Proven ability to prioritize, coordinate, and maintain a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Vendor or client engagement skills and ability to understand and effectively address needs
  • Highly effective collaboration, prioritization, and influencing skills
  • Resourceful and persistent
