ACCOUNTABILITY

In partnership with the ITA Group Foundation, Inc, CMB continues to support the fair and just treatment of all people, and commit to organizations whose work is explicitly directed to the unique needs of Black Americans by addressing an array of priorities including human services, health and wellness, human rights, social systems, financial wellness and wage equity, and arts, culture, and community engagement. As part of CMB’s continued work towards racial equity, CMB commits at least 15% of its annual foundation giving to organizations whose missions are explicitly anti-racist and focused on issues that disproportionately impact Black Americans—a percentage that reflects the U.S. population. After adding racial equity as a key focus area to its annual charitable giving in 2020, CMB’s Foundational Giving Committee is responsible for the long-term execution of this commitment.
